Our next HEDS membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, October3, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Maggiano’s Little Italy (Post Oak). Please register here by Friday September 22nd.
The presentation will be given by Nicole Hawkins, PhD, Director of Clinical Services with Center for Change. Center For Change will be graciously hosting this event.
Title: “Bodies Come in All Sizes: The Assessment and Treatment of Body Image Disturbances.”
Description: The main goal of this presentation is to educate professionals on how to assess and treat body image disturbances across the weight spectrum. This presentation will address the impact of the media and the diet industry, and how dieting leads to a loss of self-esteem and not necessarily weight.
