Welcome to Houston Eating Disorders Specialists › Forums › Houston Eating Disorders Specialists Forum › Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee – Book Club
Hi everyone!
I am excited to Chair our new Advisory Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and thought it would be fun to kick off with a Book Club! Our first book will be Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, by Isabel Wilkerson.
We also thought it would be a nice addition to highlight a country/region with our Book Club Chat and members could cook and share (virtually) their inspired dishes with the group! We are starting with Iran because the Persian New Year falls at the end of this month, and Iran officially gained independence in the month of April.
If you are interested in taking part in our Book Club for April – or any future months – please fill out this quick survey to help us determine the best day/time to meet!

Also feel free to reach out if you’d like to join the committee!
