Hello Colleagues,
On Jan. 10, HEDS members Lara Allen and Jeff Gibberman volunteered to speak to a group of 9th graders at the National Charity League. Today I talked with an adolescent girl who told me their presentation gave her the courage to talk to her mother about her eating disorder symptoms. She now has an appointment with Jeff and will be contacting Lara for psychotherapy. Kudos to HEDS for providing community outreach, and special thanks to Jeff and Lara who volunteered their time for this event!
