Hey everyone,
We are excited to share an important event that’s happening this summer: the BIPOC Eating Disorders Conference—a powerful space designed to center the voices, stories, and solutions that have often been overlooked in eating disorder care.
This event is not only an opportunity to learn but also to unlearn, heal, and imagine new ways forward. Whether you’re a clinician, advocate, student, or someone with lived experience, this conference is for you.
What to Expect:
Exploring the intersections of race, body, food, and mental health
Creating fat-affirming, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive spaces
Uplifting marginalized voices, including those of undocumented, trans, and disabled individuals
Holding space for joy, grief, resistance, and community
Conference Details: đź“… Dates: July 16th-19th
📍 Location: In person at the Houston Food Bank + Virtual option available
🎤 Featuring: A diverse lineup of speakers and sessions (full schedule available online)

This conference isn’t just about education—it’s about building a movement of community care and collective healing. We hope you’ll join us in this effort to center the experiences of those who have often been left out of the conversation around eating disorders.
Feel free to share this with others who would benefit from being part of this conversation.
Thank you for being a part of this important journey.
Warmly,
Samina Qureshi, RDN, LD
