    Yesterday’s notice listed the day of the week incorrectly.

    The HEDS October Membership meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 5 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

    Mike Gurr, Executive Director of The Meadows Ranch will be speaking about Neurobiology and Eating Disorders.

    Title: Treating Eating Disorders using neurotherapy, biofeedback and the arousal model

    Description: Eating disorders and trauma effect the neurobiology of onesbrain.  In this presentation you will see those effects and using the approach of neurotherapy and biofeedback can positively effect the brain’s neuroplasticity and help regulate the body’s nervous system.

    Objectives

    1. Define the effects of trauma and eating disorders on the brain and
    2. Describe the arousal model connects to the treatment of neurotherapy and biofeedback.
    3. Describe the specific devices used in regulating the central nervous system and help the brain’s capacity to change and learn (neuroplasticity).
