Hello! I’m Shannan Blum, the Asst. Dir. at Connections Child & Family Center (www.connectionsfamilycenter.com). We are seeking a fully licensed clinician for a full-time clinical position assessing and treating clients with eating disorders, supporting the family process of healing, and collaborating with other providers in the EDO recovery process.

    * CEDS certification or in-progress (close to finishing) is highly preferred.
    * A trauma-trained professional is preferential (trauma-informed is a must) with ability to conceptualize how the EDO and trauma intersect.
    * DBT Skills and understanding of the five DBT modules (when working with adolescents) is a plus
    * Personal awareness of how to compassionately hold strong personal and professional boundaries.

    Clinician must posses:

    ·      Skills in both assessing clients for medical necessity criteria for active AN or BN and making treatment recommendations based on the assessment. If you have ‘some’ experience doing this, we can provide training to fortify emerging skills.
    ·      Treat adolescent & adult clients with EDOs using evidence-based modalities to assist clients/families develop skills more effective than their EDO in reducing distress and managing emotions.
    ·      Demonstrate knowledge of how the comorbid diagnoses impact the development and reinforcement of EDO beliefs & bxs
    ·      Understand the process of identifying EDO thoughts, bxs and processes and be willing to strongly challenge those processes and help clients use more effective skills.
    ·      Demonstrate proficiency in assessing for medical necessity/HLOC based on presenting S/Sxs according to APA HLOC guidelines.
    ·      Provide maintenance therapeutic services and collaborate with outpatient RDs in the community once clients step down from HLOC.

Please contact me at [email protected] with a cover letter and your resume, or call at 281-210-6677 x513. Thank you!
