Dear HEDS members: We will be holding our Annual Business Meeting Tuesday evening, prior to our holiday gathering, and it is very important that members make every effort to arrive in time to participate. The meeting will start at 6:30. The agenda has been posted by our Secretary Mara Gittess.
One of our responsibilities will be to elect officers for the coming year (effective June 2015).
Our current slate of candidates are:
    President-elect – Deborah Michel
    Treasurer – Debbie Grammas
    Secretary – Mara Gittess

Our current president-elect is Michelle Fee, who will step into the role of President.

We welcome other members to run for any offices you may be interested in. Please contact me if you would like to run for one of these offices. Below are brief descriptions of each role for your consideration:
President: The President shall preside over all official HEDS meetings, provide oversight of the Board of Directors and executive officers, be responsible for the dissemination of information to the members at large and Board of Directors, and perform all duties usually pertaining to the office.
President-Elect: The President-Elect shall fulfill the duties of the President in the absence of the President, shall collaborate and assist the President, and shall assist and provide oversight to the Conference Committee and ad hoc committees as designated by the Board of Directors. The President-Elect shall assume the office of the President at the end of the President’s tenure.
Past President: The Past President shall aid the President in transitioning to the role, shall provide guidance and support to the President, and shall collaborate with the President and President-Elect on official HEDS business.
Secretary: The Secretary shall prepare agendas for official HEDS meetings and shall keep the records of HEDS, including minutes of the meetings and correspondence of HEDS.

    Thanks so much,
    Terry
