I received a request in finding a personal trainer for a colleague. Please read below and let me know if you have any suggestions:
Hi Kim,
I am looking for local (certified and willing to do house calls) quality personal trainer for a patient with disordered eating and body dysmorphia-like traits. Ideally, it would be a female trainer with a low-key approach that emphasizes quality of life and wellness over extreme fitness and hardcore training (the patient can do this to herself but needs a reasonable guide to break bad habits of overtraining etc.).
2 or 3 leads would be most helpful. Phone #s too.
Maybe Brandi Powell. Her info is under Resources. Don’t know if she does in-home sessions though.
My sister is a personal trainer and she does in-home sessions. Her name is Casey Waldner. Her number is 713-828-3144 and her email address is [email protected]. She does have experience working with people with eating disorders.
Thanks,
Amy Waldner
I can recommend Amanda Jenkins, [email protected], 713-569-7254. She is an excellent trainer and is very good with ED issues.
