Family Based Treatment (FBT) has the most scientific evidence of any treatment approach for generating lasting recovery in patients with eating disorders.  Dr. Terry Fassihi and Jill Sechi, RDLD have worked together for many years as a treatment team specializing in using FBT to help parents develop skills to provide nutrition rehabilitation to their children.  They will describe how combining therapy with nutrition education empowers parents to help their children recover.  They will present case examples from their work together.
Learning Objectives:

1. Identify phases of treatment in FBT.
2. Describe skills families use to help their loved ones overcome their eating disorders.
3. Explain the benefit for parents of working with a dietitian in FBT.
